Proxmox VE 8 hay Proxmox Virtual Environment 8 là phần mềm ảo hóa dựa trên công nghệ ảo hóa mã nguồn mở, miễn phí KVM.

Proxmox VE 8 là 1 biến thể của Debian do chạy trên Debian 12.

Tuy nhiên Proxmox VE 8 không xài Linux kernel của Dedian 12 mà họ tự build Linux kernel riêng để tối ưu hệ điều hành Linux làm KVM hypervisor.

Proxmox VE 8 xài Linux kernel riêng phiên bản 6.5.11-4-pve.
